VMware issued urgent patches to address security vulnerabilities in its Aria Operations for Networks product. The company warned that these flaws could expose businesses to remote code execution attacks. VMware has released an advisory highlighting three critical vulnerabilities in the network and application monitoring tool.
A command injection issue (CVE-2023-20887) is of particular concern, which has a CVSSV3 base score of 9.8 out of 10. The Aria Operations for Networks, previously known as vRealize Network Insight, is utilized by enterprises to monitor, discover, and analyze networks and applications to establish secure network infrastructure across different clouds.
