AdGuard, the ad-blocker firm, has launched the DoQ resolver. It is the world’s first DNS-over-QUIC resolver. The tool has been deployed in the production environment of the Android and iOS applications belonging to the company. The DoQ resolver will work by solving the queries of the users by using the new QUIC data transfer method/protocol. Solving the queries involves the conversion of website URLs into IP addresses.

In the current times, DNS queries are resolved on a default basis using the standard UDP protocol. The drawback is that UDP traffic is not encrypted, and any user can access it easily in clear text.
