Global Law Enforcement Operation Disrupted A VPN Service

Many cybercriminals are using a VPN service that recently got disrupted in an enforcement operation. It involved various law enforcement organizations from the United States, Germany, France, Netherlands, and Switzerland.

A recent Europol report revealed that the operation targeted a VPN service known as Safe-Inet, and three associated domains have been seized – including insorg.org, safe-inet.com, and safe-inet.net. The hackers planned to target a minimum of 250 organizations.

The US Justice Department further clarified that the domains now display a banner updating visitors about the seizing activity. They have also shut down the servers linked with such service in their respective regions.
