AMD and Intel Address LogoFAIL Security Flaw with Critical BIOS Updates

AMD and Intel have addressed a security flaw, LogoFAIL, which could hijack the UEFI boot screen. This vulnerability, discovered in December 2023, affects AMD and Intel platforms due to BIOS vulnerabilities from independent BIOS vendors like AMI, Phoenix, and Insyde.

Intel quickly patched the issue with Intel ME Version 16.1.30.2307. AMD’s response involved AGESA updates, with the latest ‘c’ version fixing this and other vulnerabilities. Motherboard manufacturers like Gigabyte, Asus, and MSI have released BIOS updates that incorporate these fixes.
