Google announced the plans to add a new feature in the Chrome Web Store. It will allow extension developers to share info on what data they collected from users and how the data will be used. The new section will be live from January 18, 2021. Users will be able to see the “Privacy practices” button on all extensions Web Store listing.

To help with the process, Google has added a new section in the Web Store dashboard. The dashboard will be deployed with a restricted set of pre-configured options. These options will prevent Chrome developers from specific data practices.
