Cyber Criminals are Attacking Businesses via Employees, Says Microsoft

Microsoft

Microsoft has warned businesses that cyber criminals are targeting vulnerable employees during the ongoing coronavirus (COVDI-19) pandemic. The company said it is blocking around 24,000 emails per day and 18,000 malicious COVID-themed URLs and IP addresses on a single day. There has been a spike in phishing attacks on company employees, and the company suggests it is important to educate them about clicking suspicious links. Microsoft is also urging companies to enable multi-factor authentication for all the users at all times to reduce the possibilities of cyber-attacks.
