Microsoft denies data breach involving 30 million customer accounts

Microsoft has refused the allegations by the self-proclaimed hacktivist group called “Anonymous Sudan” regarding their breach of the company’s servers and theft of credentials for 30 million customer accounts.

Anonymous Sudan is notorious for launching debilitating distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against Western organizations in recent months. The group has acknowledged its association with pro-Russian hacktivists like Killnet.

In the previous month, Microsoft acknowledged that Anonymous Sudan was responsible for service disruptions and outages at the beginning of June, which affected several of its services, including Azure, Outlook, and OneDrive. Anonymous Sudan claimed to possess this database and offered their Telegram bot to arrange the data purchase.
