Microsoft Exchange Server to Protect Zero-Day Attacks

Organizations are being asked to apply the critical updates to protect zero-day vulnerabilities in Microsoft Exchange Server immediately. This will help prevent the rising range of hacking groups trying to exploit unpatched networks.

A warning from the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) urged all the businesses utilizing affected versions of the Microsoft Exchange Server to apply the latest updates on an urgent basis to safeguard their networks from cyber-attacks, including ransomware.

The NCSC believes that more than 3,000 Microsoft Exchange email servers used by companies within the UK haven’t had the essential security patches applied. Therefore,

cyber-attackers are taking advantage of the vulnerabilities.
