Ransomware Group Claims 100 Gb of Data Stolen From Nissan

According to reports, a well-known ransomware group stole 100 gigabytes of data from the Japanese automaker Nissan in the most recent cyberattack.

On December 22, it declared that a “third party without authorization unlawfully accessed certain of the company’s network systems in Australia and New Zealand,” and it stated that it has been investigating the information that was affected. Law enforcement, privacy regulators, and cybersecurity agencies in Australia and New Zealand have all been informed.

The attack on Nissan has been attributed to a ransomware group called Akira, which claims to have stolen 100 gigabytes of data, including company files and employee personal information.
