Bain Capital Ventures Operating Partner Jeff Williams Joins Revelstoke Advisory Board

Revelstoke, a next-generation enterprise Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR) company, today announced Jeff Williams has joined the company’s Advisory Board. Williams brings a wealth of experience building successful sales organizations for innovative start-ups and leading information security companies to Revelstoke.

“Revelstoke is revolutionizing the SOAR market. Jeff’s arrival continues this momentum as we look to leverage his track record of successfully building solid global sales and strategic alliances for prominent information security companies,” said Bob Kruse, CEO and co-founder of Revelstoke. “He has been a valuable mentor and is a demonstrated leader in sales at some of the most recognized brands in information security and will be a great asset to the Revelstoke.io team.”

Revelstoke, which launched in January, offers Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) and security analysts a next-generation SOAR solution built on a Unified Data Layer. Revelstoke automates analysis, eliminates software development needs, optimizes workflows, prevents vendor lock, scales processes, and quickly and effectively gets to the root of incidents.

Williams has spent the last six years as an Operating Partner at Bain Capital Ventures. Before that, he was the CRO at FireEye, where he took bookings from $0 to over a $1 billion run rate. His ability to build a formidable sales team with incredible culture helped drive the company to a successful IPO. Before that, he was Global Vice President of Sales for Innovative Technologies at Cisco. Before Cisco, Williams led sales for IronPort, generating hundreds of millions in revenue and creating the foundation for IronPort’s $830 million acquisition by Cisco. Prior to his tenure at IronPort, Williams was Vice President of Sales at IntruVert Networks, a developer of intrusion detection and prevention systems, which McAfee acquired.

“I’ve been in the cybersecurity industry for over two decades, and Revelstoke.io is finally addressing a massive opportunity in the SOAR space,” said Williams. “We have been waiting 25 years for a solution that Security Analysts and Security Operations Centers can use to protect their companies with high fidelity. Revelstoke allows customers across all industries to take highly calculated actions to protect their business. I am elated to be an Advisor to a company with such incredible potential to impact the cybersecurity market.”
