Group-IB partners with Pacific Tech to expand distribution of the Unified Risk Platform in Southeast Asia

Pacific Tech becomes Group-IB’s first distributor in Singapore that will provide the company’s entire suite of products and services for the prevention and investigation of cybercrime within Southeast Asia, specifically in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei, Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar. According to the Group-IB Threat Intelligence team, the Asia-Pacific region experienced the highest number of attacks perpetrated by nation-state threat actors. Between H2 2021 – H1 2022, the activity of more than 35 Advanced Persistent Threat (APT) groups was detected in APAC. Threat actors from India, China, Taiwan, South Korea, and Vietnam were the most active. Ransomware remains a threat number one for public and private sectors. According to the Hi-Tech Crime Trends 22/23 report, Singapore ranked 9th in APAC with 17 local companies whose data was posted on ransomware Dedicated Leak Sites (DLS) between H2 2021 – H1 2022, three times more than in the preceding period (5).
