Veracode , the world’s leading provider of modern application security testing solutions, today announced that it has acquired Germany-based software security tool Crashtest Security, a product of developer-focused dynamic application security testing (DAST). The investment will bolster existing DAST capabilities available as part of Veracode’s continuous software security platform and expand customer access globally.

Crashtest Security dynamic analysis

Crashtest Security, based in Munich, Germany, was founded in 2017. The solution can be used to analyze applications based on JavaScript, Representational State Transfer (REST) ​​APIs, and traditional web applications, as well as automate security testing using its integration into the software development process.

Veracode will add the Crashtest tool to its current portfolio, allowing customers to use the same login credentials for both products. Users will be able to take advantage of the most powerful aspects of the embedded technology to gain a 360-degree view of the scanning and reporting architecture in any application that uses a DAST product.
