Check Point Buys Perimeter 81 for USD 490 Million

Check Point Software, a leader in network security, announced that it has reached an agreement to buy Perimeter 81, a provider of Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solutions, for approximately USD 490 million in a “cash free, debt free” transaction.

With its cloud-delivered Zero Trust Network Access, Firewall as a Service, and Secure Web Gateway (SWG) offerings, Perimeter 81, a company that just got off the ground in 2018, provides a platform that aids businesses in securing remote access, network traffic, and endpoint devices.

The business has also raised USD 165 million in funding. According to Check Point, it intends to use Perimeter 81’s capabilities and incorporate them into the architecture of Check Point Infinity.
