CISA Launches Cataloguing and Publication of Bad Cyber Practices

The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) is compiling a list of cybersecurity bad practices to assist critical infrastructure providers in prioritizing their cybersecurity obligations. Based on feedback from cybersecurity professionals, the agency intends to continue updating the shortlist.

Recent occurrences have shown that cyber-attacks on critical infrastructure have a major impact on government and commercial sector services. To protect against cyber-attacks and manage cyber risks, organizations, particularly those designated as national vital functions (NCF), must adopt comprehensive cybersecurity plans. Bad practices in an institution that supports NCFs are dangerous, according to CISA.
