CISA Unveils New ‘Decider’ Tool to Map Attacker Behavior to ATT&CK Framework

Wednesday, the US Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) announced the release of a free and open-source tool intended to assist defenders in mapping attacker behavior to the Mitre ATT&CK framework.

The Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development Institute (HSSEDI) and Mitre collaborated to create the new tool, Decider. Decider facilitates the mapping process by posing a series of queries to the user regarding the activity of the adversary in their network. The tool also has search and filtering capabilities, and users can export the outcomes in a variety of common formats.

Although Decider is available on GitHub, it cannot be used until it is hosted somewhere because it is a web application.
