Cyberattack Disrupts VF Corp, Affects Online Operations

VF Corporation

VF Corporation, which owns and operates some of the world’s most recognizable apparel and footwear brands, has been hit by a ransomware attack that resulted in the theft of sensitive corporate and personal data.

VF Corp claimed in a filing with the SEC that the hackers stole data from the company, including personal information, and interfered with business operations, including the company’s capacity to fulfill online orders.  The business did not offer any more information about the stolen data or whether customer information from third parties was compromised.

The majority of the company’s international e-commerce sites still allow customers to place orders, according to VF Corp, but the business’s capacity to fulfill orders is currently being hampered.
