Over 800,000 users’ data was revealed by a Webmaster database belonging to California based Digital Point. The Californian organization prides itself as the “largest webmaster community globally.” It acts as a platform that helps bring together creative professionals, coders, marketers, and freelancers.
The leak was detected by Jeremiah Fowler, a cybersecurity researcher, and a WebsitePlanet research team. They discovered an unprotected Elasticsearch database with more than 62 million data records. Out of these, 863,412 Digital Point end-users data was part of the leak. As per the analysis, leaked data included internal user ID numbers, names, email addresses, and teams.
