Google has unveiled a new initiative to promote the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in cybersecurity. The internet giant believes that AI is critical for digital security, potentially giving defenders a clear advantage over attackers and upending the Defender’s Dilemma.

“AI allows security professionals and defenders to scale their work in threat detection, malware analysis, vulnerability detection, vulnerability fixing and incident response,” the company states.
The internet giant’s new AI Cyber Defense Initiative brings AI to security and helps others by investing in AI-ready infrastructure, new defensive tools, research, and AI security training.
