Google Patches Several Remote Code Execution Vulnerabilities in Android

Google has recently announced the release of patches for 37 critical vulnerabilities as part of Android security updates. This includes a fix for a complex flaw within the System component.

The vulnerability has been tracked as CVE-2021-0397, affecting Android 8.1, 9, 10, and 11 releases. This bug was addressed built in the 2021-03-01 security patch level. This security issue could permit a threat actor to execute code from anywhere on a vulnerable device.

The tech giant also explained in detail that the criticality of these issues is a serious security vulnerability that could allow a remote attacker to craft transmission to execute arbitrary code in the context of a privileged process.
