Okta, a provider of identity and access management solutions, informed customers this week that some of the organization’s source code had recently been stolen from its GitHub repositories. GitHub notified Okta of the breach at the beginning of December.

According to an investigation, hackers copied code related to Workforce Identity Cloud from Okta’s repositories (WIC). The good news is that there shouldn’t be any data in the source code that could compromise the security of Okta products. There is also no evidence of unauthorized access to the Okta service or customer data, according to the company, and Auth0 (Customer Identity Cloud) products are unaffected.
