Microsoft Patches Actively Exploited Zero-Day Bug

For May’s monthly security update, Microsoft released 73 new patches, including one for a zero-day Windows LSA Spoofing Vulnerability categorized as “critical” that is actively being exploited with man-in-the-middle attacks. 

Patch Tuesday, a monthly update of patches released by the software giant every second Tuesday of the month, contains remedies for seven “major” problems, 65 “important” flaws, and one “low” flaw. Given that Microsoft issued a record number of patches in April, the amount of updates released in May is comparatively low, but researchers say there are still a few notable issues that need to be addressed.
