Nearly 90% of Security Professionals Say Common Attacks Spiked During COVID-19

According to a latest survey from Bitdefender half of IT security professionals lack having a
contingency plan to face a crisis like the COVID-19 pandemic. “The Indelible Impact of COVID-19 on Cybersecurity” survey notes 86% of security professionals admit common cyber-attacks were on the rise during the pandemic. Majority of them believed that COVID-19 will change the regular business operations. Financial services, health care, and the public sector (29%) suffered the most attacks during COVID-19 outbreak. Seventy-seven percent of professionals believed that health care was not effectively prepared due to budget constraints.
