Nordex Struggles to Recover Following Cyberattack

Nordex Group, a manufacturer of wind turbines, announced this week that it is still working to restore systems following a crippling cyberattack on March 31.

The incident was made public in early April, when the company announced that it had shut down “IT systems across multiple locations and business units” in order to contain the problem. However, the company stated that while it disabled remote access from its infrastructure to contracted turbines, wind turbine farms remained unaffected and continued to operate normally.
