Obsidian Raises 90 Million USD for SaaS Security Platform

Obsidian Security announced a 90 million USD Series C investment round on Thursday, bringing the company’s total capital to 119.5 million USD.

Menlo Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, and IVP led the investment, with Greylock, Wing, and GV also participating. The funds will be used to expand the company’s research and development and go-to-market teams globally.

Obsidian first advertised itself as an “identity protection business,” but has now rebranded itself as a provider of threat and posture management solutions for SaaS apps — despite the fact that the firm appears to remain focused on identity-related security.
