Rackspace Confirms Ransomware Attack While Investigating Potential Data Theft

Rackspace, a provider of cloud services, has acknowledged being the target of a ransomware attack after being compelled to shut down its Hosted Exchange environment. On Friday, December 2, issues with the hosted Microsoft Exchange service from Rackspace first appeared.
