Ragnar Locker Malware Targets ADATA

ADATA, a Taiwan-based memory and storage provider, has revealed that it was forced to take its systems offline after being hit by a ransomware attack in late May.

The timing of the attack is especially crucial, as it occurs in the midst of an ongoing chip scarcity. Any outage might further prolong the industry’s recovery, as manufacturers struggle to keep up with demand.

ADATA, on the other hand, did not name the threat actors responsible for the ransomware attack, nor did it disclose any information on the ransom demands.
