Tarsal raises USD 6 million for its security data movement platform

Tarsal, which touts itself as a secure data mobility firm, revealed today that it has raised USD 6 million in a seed fundraising round led by Harpoon Ventures and Mango Capital, with participation from Abstract Ventures, Backend Capital, and Y Combinator.

Founded in 2022, the San Francisco, California-based firm seeks to help security teams improve data management by enabling them to execute security analytics on top of the modern data stack. Tarsal’s one-click extract, transform, and load (ETL) platform enables seamless data ingestion, normalization, and analysis on various platforms, including major data lakes, SIEMs, and XDRs.

According to Tarsal, the solution allows clients to preserve their SIEMs while shifting analytics to a data lake for enhanced flexibility and performance, and it can scale to meet the customer’s data management demands.
