The 'Styx' Cybercrime Market Focused on Financial Fraud Erupts

Cybersecurity firm Resecurity has issued a warning about a recently discovered dark web portal that provides illicit services related to financial fraud, identity theft, and money laundering.

The portal, known as Styx Marketplace, provides data dumps, cash-out services, fake and stolen IDs, SIM cards, solutions to bypass multi-factor authentication, banking malware, and other illegal services. The marketplace opened in January 2023 after an escrow module for mediating transactions between cybercriminals, which was first mentioned on the dark web in early 2022.

Users who have registered are given access to the various illegal services offered on the portal. There is also a section for Trusted Sellers, probably for merchants who have been approved by the Styx administrators
