Twitter Suspended a Hacker Accused of Stealing Data from 45 Million Argentinians

Twitter has suspended a hacker who is accused of stealing all of the data from Argentina’s database, which contains the IDs and personal information of the country’s 45 million inhabitants. 

Threat actor @aniballeaks claimed to have hacked Argentina’s National Registry of Persons, also known as RENAPER or Registro Nacional de las Personas and was selling the information on a cybercriminal forum. 

Names, home addresses, birthdays, government photo IDs, Trámite numbers, labor identification codes, citizen numbers, ID card issuance, and expiration dates are among the information disclosed. 

Initially, the hacker leaked the personal information of well-known Argentines such as Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero.
