Expanse, the world’s leading attack surface management platform, today announced the addition of Tom Barsi to the company’s leadership team, as Vice President of Business Development. With a proven track record of leading the growth of several successful cybersecurity companies, Tom will support Expanse’s ongoing business development and channel efforts and contribute to its continued success in the industry.

Tom joins Expanse from VMware, where he served as Vice President, coming to the company through the acquisition of Carbon Black. He oversaw business development and strategic partnerships as Senior Vice President of Business and Corporate Development of Carbon Black, successfully supporting their efforts through IPO and leading the partnership with VMware that led to Carbon Black’s acquisition. He has also held Vice President roles at numerous other organizations, such as Proofpoint where he led as EVP of Business Development and Global Channels and Verisign as Vice President of Business Development. With over 20 years of experience in business development roles, Tom will support Expanse’s growing footprint in cybersecurity for both public and private organizations by building world class ecosystem technical alliance partners (ISVs) and strategic go-to-market partners (VAR/MSSP).
