Recovery Point Systems Announces Acquisition of Geminare

Recovery Point Systems, an Abry Partners company and a leader in cloud-based business resilience services based in Germantown, Md., acquired Geminare, a global resiliency, application and data protection innovator headquartered in Toronto, Canada. Geminare, one of the first industry innovators in orchestration and automation, brings maturity, capability and reliability across virtually all disaster recovery, business continuity and DRaaS technologies with its globally recognized Resiliency Management Platform (RMP).

The Geminare acquisition will provide Recovery Point with differentiated and market-leading technology that substantially reduces recovery times and manual orchestration while delivering predictable and reliable resiliency capabilities across private, public cloud, and hybrid deployments. Named the “manager of managers” of IT resilience orchestration technology, Geminare’s platform helps leading enterprise organizations automate their entire resiliency footprint from applications and infrastructure to drift management and cyber resiliency. Geminare’s platform was ranked an industry leader in the 2020 Gartner Market Guide for DRaaS.

“Traditional providers don’t incorporate cross platform or heterogeneous capabilities like the Resiliency Management Platform which places Geminare in a class by themselves,” noted Tony Rossabi, CEO of Recovery Point Group Holding Company. “Geminare provides true automated application resilience, which is what the marketplace needs. In addition, the platform allows Recovery Point to expand its offerings and enhance its DR solutions. We look forward to working with the Geminare team and expanding the exceptional business they’ve built.”

The Resiliency Management Platform, or RMP, is a portfolio of highly advanced resiliency management and control solutions, designed to manage application availability, system and server resiliency, service automation as well as cyber application resiliency delivered through custom-built machine learning models, all within a tightly integrated framework. The RMP is an industry-leading, multi-patented and proven platform that offers enterprise organizations the ability to manage, deliver and consistently report on their resiliency footprint with uniquely enhanced RTO capabilities. It is the only multi-tenanted, multi-tiered platform that was purposefully built to engage, manage and deliver successful orchestration solutions to enterprise environments and enable global service providers.

“We’re excited to join the Recovery Point Systems team, a long time partner and leader in the marketplace,” said Joshua Geist, CEO of Geminare. “With the investment capabilities of Recovery Point, the Resiliency Management Platform has the ability to expand and accelerate into new market opportunities and deliver these powerful capabilities to a broader set of clients.”

The synergy between Recovery Point’s resiliency expertise and Geminare’s world-class software innovation and delivery capabilities will positively influence Recovery Point’s strategy of continued convergence around connectivity, automation, and integration with the goal of continuing to serve existing clients and expanding to new enterprise clients globally. The acquisition puts Recovery Point Systems in the unique position of a leading disaster recovery solutions provider with its own cutting-edge resiliency software platform.
