BotGuard raises USD 13 million to prevent harmful web traffic

BotGuard OU, a web traffic management firm, has raised EUR 12 million (~USD 13.1 million) in Series A funding, bringing the total investment to around USD 13.7 million.

MMC Ventures led the new funding round, which also included Tera Ventures, Expeditions Fund, and angel investors. BotGuard, based in Tallinn, Estonia, was founded in 2019 and offers a solution to help hosting providers filter web traffic while protecting their infrastructure and clients.

The company’s cloud-based solution, which uses AI, enables organizations to filter good, neutral, and malicious traffic in order to protect them from threats such as data theft, scams, and distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
