CrowdStrike, the market leader in endpoint detection and response, is expanding into new security markets through the planned acquisition of attack surface management start-up, Reposify and a strategic investment in API security provider, Salt Security.
The company said that they are entering the lucrative external attack surface management (EASM) market through the acquisition of Reposify, which will be paid for primarily in cash. The purchase price was not disclosed by CrowdStrike. Reposify, an Israel-based company with offices in San Francisco, raised USD 8.5 million in seed funding to develop scanning technology to assist organizations in tracking and managing risk and exposure.
The Reposify technology will be sold alongside CrowdStrike’s Threat Intelligence, Security, and IT Operations product suites, according to CrowdStrike. CrowdStrike has acquired security vendors Humio, Preempt Security, and Payload Security over the past two years
