A recent distributed denial of service (DDoS) campaign targeting a hotel customer of cloud networking provider Akamai has been claimed by the defunct REvil ransomware gang.
According to analysts, it’s extremely likely that the attack is not a rebirth of the known cybercriminal gang, but rather a copycat operation.
