Dig Protection has secured an extra USD 34 million in venture capital funding just four months after emerging from stealth with USD 11 million in initial funding, as investors continue to pour money into firms focused on cloud data security.

The company reported that Silicon Valley startup capital firm SignalFire led the USD 34 million Series A, with participation from Felicis, Okta Ventures, and Team8. Dig Security, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, is developing data detection and response (DDR) technology that it claims would give users real-time access to, control over, and security for their cloud-based data assets through a single unified policy engine.

The most recent round of funding for Dig Security comes as venture capitalists scramble to place bets on fledgling businesses vying for prominence in the Data Security Posture Management (DSPM) market.
