Gartner’s latest Gartner Hype Cycle for Endpoint Security predicts that Bring Your Own PC (BYOPC) security will transform businesses in the next five years
The research firm said BYOPC security and secure access service edge (SASE) are two technologies that are expected to reach mainstream adoption in the near future. This emerging strategy has forced CISOs and security leaders to implement specific security practices accordingly.

CISOs and security leaders need to prioritize to offer support BYOPC practice as it will be necessary for a long-term work-from-home strategy. They will also need to support the security tools needed for a BYOPC environment. CISOs should focus on security practices like enabling multifactor authentication (MFA) for all access to any corporate resource even if they are not virtual.
