According to Microsoft’s latest study of cybersecurity defenders, Zero Trust, the vendor-pushed borderless security policy, has fully taken hold in the enterprise.

For the past few years, Microsoft, Google, IBM, AWS, Cisco, and others in the cybersecurity business have been beating the ‘zero trust’ drum.

After this year’s software supply chain attacks on US tech firms, which coincided with a mass shift to remote work, the case for zero trust became clearer. This even more strongly demonstrated the need to protect information both inside and outside of a trusted environment in a world that spans BYOD, home networks, VPNs, cloud services, and more.
