Google Stopped 1.4 Million Bad Apps from Google Play in 2022

According to Google, over 500,000 applications have been thwarted from accessing unauthorized sensitive rights over the past three years due to stricter Android security and standards, developer education, and other factors.

Around 173,000 developer accounts were prohibited from Google Play the previous year as a stake in the internet giant’s actions to combat fraud.

Google also announced a ‘Data Safety Section’ in the play store to show users improved translucence on how applications collect, protect, and share their data.
