RansomedVC Announces Closing of Operations

RansomedVC

RansomedVC, a ransomware and data extortion group, recently announced the cessation of its operations after a brief existence of a few months.

It operates under the ransomware-as-a-service (RaaS) model. The group targeted over 40 European businesses, demanding up to USD 1 million in ransoms.

Notable victims included Sony and the District of Columbia Board of Elections. On October 30, the group declared its shutdown on Telegram, closing leak websites but keeping the dark web forum active for selling assets.

The offered items include leaked websites, a dark web forum, social media accounts, an allegedly undetectable ransomware builder, malware source code, and access to various data.
