Security company CrowdStrike has warned that a threat actor known as “Scattered Spider” is targeting telecommunications and business process outsourcing (BPO) firms in an effort to hack into mobile carrier networks and perform SIM swapping.

Scattered Spider, according to CrowdStrike, has been obstinately attempting to access victim networks and, once in, typically goes about its daily business.
