The Device42 asset management platform has a number of serious flaws including faults that may be used to run arbitrary code, according to Bitdefender.

The Device42 platform offers administrators the ability to manage data center assets, passwords, and services, as well as device discovery and asset tagging functionalities, enabling them to track apps, devices, and hardware.

Three significant flaws in the Device42 platform and one in the Device42 ApplianceManager console were disclosed by Bitdefender, who also issued a warning about how attackers may use these flaws to execute code remotely.

An attacker might assume the identities of other users and get admin-level access to the program by exploiting these flaws, according to Bitdefender.
