This week, API security startup FireTail announced that it had raised USD 5 million in an early-stage financing round, which was headed by Paladin Capital Group and included General Advance, Secure Octane, Zscaler, and angel investors.

The Mclean, Virginia-based company, which was established in 2021, suggests a novel strategy for protecting Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), assisting businesses in creating API inventories and removing security concerns related to them. FireTail claims that its platform can offer continuous visibility, threat monitoring, and breach prevention capabilities, with a focus on cloud-native applications, and that it has already attracted early adopters across North America, Asia-Pacific, and Europe.
