SolarWinds repaired a Serv-U bug that was detected when attackers used Log4j error to try to infiltrate the file sharing software.
Attackers are trying to infiltrate SolarWinds Serv-U file sharing software by attacking exploits Log4j errors. Earlier, Microsoft had warned Wednesday that hackers were using unspecified threats in the SolarWinds Serv-U file sharing software to spread Log4j attacks on internal devices with the SolarWinds bug.
SolarWinds released the fix yesterday, Tuesday. SolarWinds then contacted Threatpost and other news outlets on Thursday to clarify that Microsoft’s report was aimed at a malicious character trying to get into Serv-U using Log4j vulnerability.
