The US House of Representatives Passes Several Cybersecurity Bills

Several cybersecurity bills were passed by the US House of Representatives, including ones pertaining to industrial control systems (ICS), critical infrastructure, and grants for state and local governments.

The Cybersecurity Vulnerability Remediation Act – which seeks to authorize the Department of Homeland Security’s CISA to assist operators and owners of critical infrastructure with mitigation strategies against serious vulnerabilities, is one of the bills focusing on critical infrastructure.

The CISA Cyber Exercise Act, which establishes a program inside CISA to promote frequent testing and assessments of preparedness and resilience to cyber-attacks aimed at critical infrastructure, was also passed by the House.
