Twitter Says Hackers Accessed DMs for 36 Users in Crypto Scam

Twitter has revealed that cybercriminals accessed direct messages of 36 victims in the recent crypto scam. Last week, hackers took over the accounts of around 130 people including high-profile and verified accounts of people and companies. The hackers accessed 36 direct message inboxes, including one for an elected official in the Netherlands, Twitter said. They initiated a password reset, logged into the account, and sent new tweets to promote their Cryptocurrency scam for 45 accounts.
